The IT Project is not just the friendly voice on the other end of the line when you call the help desk for the Consumer Service Reporting (CSR) time and attendance system for DDD-contracted agencies.

Our History:
The IT Project was established in 1984 as a joint public/private venture among New Jersey Association of Mental Health Agencies, the State of New Jersey’s Division of Mental Health Services (DMHS) and IT Project participants. At the time, it was the only venture of its kind in the United States to be initiated by a state division to help nonprofit organizations implement the new technology of desktop computers. Based on the IT Project’s success, the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) asked the IT Project to serve its provider organizations, as well. Currently, the IT Project serves more than 225 DDD-contracted agencies and more than 125 organizations that have contracts with DMHS. Once the IT Project was contracted to support the CSR system for DDD agencies we have been an active participating member of NJACP’s IT Steering Committee’s monthly meetings at NJACP’s office.

Some of our Services:
▪ Network administration: IT Project staff members provide assistance with network planning, problem resolution and system maintenance at the agencies.
▪ Computer training classes: The IT Project provides training to agencies for the Microsoft Office Suite. Classes are available at the IT Project’s offices or at individual agencies. The IT Project’s on-site training has the dual advantages of offering expert training at a low cost and saving agencies’ money by reducing lost staff time and travel costs. The IT Project is not just the friendly voice on the other end of the line when you call the help desk for the Consumer Service Reporting (CSR) time and attendance system for DDD-contracted agencies. ▪ Technology consultation – This service, presently provided at no cost, offers help to agencies that encounter problems using certain software and hardware products. The IT Project provides telephone, modem and on-site support services.
▪ Group purchasing: With a full awareness of nonprofit organizations’ financial constraints, the IT Project continually seeks and informs IT Project participants about opportunities to save money through group purchases and other available discounts.

IMPROVED SOFTWARE TRAINING PROGRAM
Welcome to the new and improved software training program from the IT Project!

I have been the software trainer for the IT Project since April 2007.
My experiences include teaching in the Diocese of Trenton for over 10 years, and then moving on to a public school district where I spent over six years as the first and only technology trainer for all teachers and staff members in the district.  Overall, I have taught technology topics and subject matter for close to 10 years and I love teaching.

Over the past 9 months I have made many changes in our training program.  We have revitalized our training curriculum with new and exciting benefits and have kept the pricing structure the same…and we are still offering the best training deal in the state for your dollar!

Some of the changes include:

Training now consists of customized manuals (available on CD) for all programs - Microsoft Office 2003 Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.  Beginning in April 2008, Office 2007 training will also be available.

CDs can be copied freely and given to other staff members.

Our training lab now consists of state of the art laptops for all training sessions and a ceiling mounted projector for unobstructed view of the trainer’s demonstrations. If you come to us at our training center in Mercerville, we charge only $65.00 per attendee for classes from 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM.  We can accommodate 9 attendees for our training sessions at one time.

We have expanded our onsite training opportunities where we can come to your location and train your staff which saves you money in travel expenses.  We provide enough laptops for 13 staff members to be trained at one time.  A projector is also provided for training at your location to view the hands-on activities in class.  Class time is the same - 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM.  Since arriving at NJAMHA, I have had the pleasure of going on-site to several of our agencies to deliver training sessions in Word, Excel and Access.  These experiences have been beneficial for all involved, including me.  Imagine staff members not even having to leave your building for training.  What better way to maximize your technology investments!  All of this is included in the price of $590.00 per training class at your location.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you,
Roseann Moran, Software Trainer
